Hacking incident transpired at Sitio Bantal, Brgy. Paranglumba, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 3:50 AM of November 6, 2020 wherein the victim identified as Ruben Gumutong Dontalino, 38 years old, was hacked by the suspect identified as Rumolo Awan Dontao, 44 years old and both are residents of aforementioned place.
Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session at the house of the suspect and later on a heated argument ensued. Thereat, suspect hacked the victim using a bolo, hitting on the victims’ head.
The suspect voluntary surrendered to the responding personnel of Siayan Municipal Police Station while the victim was immediately brought to Siayan Rural Health Unit for medical treatment. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
