The announcement aired over RPN DXKS this morning anchored by Jun Clerigo, Governor Matugas said ALL PERSONS, EXCEPT RESIDENTS OF SURIGAO DEL NORTE AND NONRESIDENT GOVERNMENT AUTHORIZED PERSONS OUTSIDE RESIDENCE ON A SPECIAL MISSION, COMING FROM METRO MANILA AND THE PROVINCES OF BULACAN, CAVITE, LAGUNA AND RIZAL ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TRAVEL TO THIS PROVINCE FROM MARCH 22, 2021 UNTIL FURTHER ORDERS.
The Governor issued this Second Supplement to EO No. 21-010, s. 2021 to prevent the new variants of COVID-19 from entering our Province with the following salient features:
- No travel policy of persons (except Surigao del Norte Residents and Government APOR with special mission) coming from Metro Manila as well as Provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal to the Province of Surigao del Norte;
- Reiteration of strict implementation of mandatory travel protocols and requirements in Siargao Island Airport and Surigao City Airport to those persons who are not prohibited to travel to this Province; and
- Reiteration of strict implementation of mandatory travel protocols and requirements in Seaports and Other Points of Entry to those persons who are not prohibited to travel to this Province.
The Provincial Inter Agency Task Force will have an emergency meeting today and local checkpoints will be established. (RPN DXKS Surigao)
