Government Offices And Private Stakeholders Join The Alliance

The following agencies responded to the call of the alliance and are the official members of ZNYDA: Zamboanga del Norte’s Department of Education, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), and the Philippine National Police.

Also, members of the alliance are the Provincial Governor’s Offices: Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Provincial Youth Scholarship Program (PYSP), and Public Employment Services Office (PESO).

The business sector of Dipolog City also hopped in, the Dipolog City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Zamboanga del Norte Federation of Parents Association, a non-government organization.

The Office of Board Member Romulo Soliva, the Chairperson of Zambo del Norte’s Committee on Education, the League of Municipal Mayors, and the Provincial Youth Development Council also sits as a member.

Aiming to benchmark from the provincial level youth development alliance, the Dipolog City SK Federation President and the Dipolog City Local Youth Development Officer will sit as observers in the establishment of the alliance.

Upon signing the executive order institutionalizing ZNYDA, workshops will follow to further strengthen the roles of each office and agency in the alliance to better serve the youth of Zamboanga del Norte.

The establishing of Zamboanga del Norte Youth Development Alliance is in line with the mission of Ateneo de Zamboanga University through SUGPAT Program which implements Power For Youth Project supported by UNICEF Philippines.
