ASPIRING party-list candidate Frontliners honored Filipino athletes for giving hope and inspiring the entire nation during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Frontliners vowed to support the initiative and campaign of the Filipino athletes saying “they are just like the hardworking doctors, nurses, police and soldiers who are dedicated to serve the nation in any given time, place and situation.”

“While our doctors and nurses are so busy saving lives at the height of the pandemic, our athletes have lifted the spirit of the entire nation especially during the Tokyo Olympics where we won our first-ever gold medal in the Olympics,” Frontliners first nominee Jayke Joson said.

“The Olympic gold medal victory of weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz last July, as well as the silver medals of boxers Carlo Paalam and Nesthy Petecio and bronze medal of Eumir Felix Marcial motivated millions of frontliners to work very hard and keep their faith to God,” he added.

Joson, a former actor and film producer, will be pitting Frontliners in the May 9, 2022, elections where 63 party-list seats at the House of Representatives are at stake.

“Our national athletes are also frontliners who fight for the pride of our nation at these trying times,” he said. “Just like our beloved health-care workers and peacekeeping forces, we have to support the campaign of our athletes to keep a strong nation at this time.”
