Camp Col. Romeo A. Abendan, Zamboanga City – Police Regional Office IX (PRO IX) handed over the cash benefits to the bereaved family of police officer who was killed in a law enforcement operation in Purok 6, Brgy. Recodo, Zamboanga City last August 11, 2020.
Maria Teresita F Balasabas, the surviving wife of PSSg. Larry P. Balasabas, PNP member assigned at Zamboanga City Police Station 9 and children received a cash benefits amounting to ₱ 358, 000, 00 during the ceremonial turnover of PSMBFI claims held at PRO IX Officer’s Lounge, Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Zamboanga City at 10:00 AM, August 25, 2020.
PBGEN. Jesus D. Cambay, Jr., Regional Director, PRO IX also handed over a token of sincerity to the surviving spouse and children of the slain cop and cash amount of ₱ 36, 000. 00 as part of the PNP’s Special Financial Assistance.
The cash amount extended to the beneficiaries of late PSSg. Balasabas is just a portion of the total full amount of ₱ 1,047,850.00 which will be released upon completion of required documents needed to support the claim. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
