An electrocution incident was transpired at Purok Bouguinvilla, Brgy. Poblacion National Highway, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay on August 21, 2020 at about 11:50 AM. Elements of Alicia Municipal Police Station proceeded to the area to conduct investigation.
Investigation disclosed that a red Trailer Truck with plate number NBM 8267, chassis number LZGJLOT48HX114080 driven by certain Emelito G. Batiancila, 41 years old, driver, a resident of Brgy. Lugait, Misamis Oriental was travelling along aforementioned place. Upon reaching at the place of incident, the primary electrical line of ZAMSURECO II got stuck at the top/roof part of the said truck, the driver requested his companion Joel A. Tongao, a resident of the same place, to remove the wire with the use of stick. However, upon doing so, he suffered electric shock from the wire which led him to fall from the top of the truck, estimated to be more or less 12 feet from the ground.
Immediately, a concerned citizen brought him to Alicia District Hospital for medical attention and is now under observation. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
