EASL closes deals with 22 Asia’s leading TV, digital networks

EST Asia Super League (EASL) announced on Wednesday its broadcast and streaming partners for the EASL Champions Week set in Utsunomiya and Okinawa, Japan, from March 1 to 5.

EASL fans can catch all the action with commentary in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean and English.

“We are thrilled to partner with Asia’s leading TV and digital networks to bring the excitement of EASL Champions Week to fans across the globe,” EASL CEO Matt Beyer said. “EASL is the premier basketball entertainment experience in the region, and we are eager to showcase our games to fans.”

The league’s eight-qualified champions and runner-up teams from EASL partner leagues, Japan B.LEAGUE, Korea Basketball League, Philippine Philippine Basketball Association, Chinese Taipei P.LEAGUE+ and the EASL-seeded Bay Area Dragons will battle for the EASL crown and lucrative cash prizes.

The first-place team will receive $250,000, while the runner-up and third place teams will get $100,000 and $50,000, respectively.

Fans can catch all the action from EASL Champions Week on more than 22 networks in EASL core markets.

Major platforms such as Tencent, MIGU, Youku in Mainland China; BasketLIVE in Japan; SpoTV in Korea; TV5/Cignal TV/OneSport and SkyCable in the Philippines; Momo TV and Formosa TV in Chinese Taipei, and SpoTV in Hong Kong and Macau SARs will all cover of the exciting competition.
