Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted drug buy bust operation at Ata Drive, Baliwasan Tabuk, Zamboanga City at about 9:05 PM of November 13, 2020. This resulted in the arrest of Haider Hamad Majid, 34 years old, male, and a resident of Baliwasan Tabuk, Zamboanga City.
During the operation said suspect was armed with a firearm and immediately fired toward the operating team prompting the operating troops to retaliate hitting the suspect’s body two gunshot wounds. suspect was arrested and confiscated from his possession and control 20 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱ 100,000.00 weighing 14.7 grams, three bills of ₱ 100.00 (₱ 300.00) marked money, one unit caliber .45 pistol Armscor with silencer with serial no. 1725430 with one magazine loaded with three ammunitions without pertinent papers to possess the firearm.
Confiscated items were brought to Crime Lab Office for laboratory examination while the wounded suspect was brought to Zamboanga City Medical Center for immediate medical attention. The suspect will face charges of illegal drugs and illegal possession of firearms.
