DOLE, DFA officials mourn death of PHL labor attaché in Jeddah

Labor and foreign affairs officials expressed their condolences to the family of Labor Attache in Jeddah Nasser B. Munder, who passed away due to a heart attack last Monday. 

Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III commended Munder for his over 20 years of service in assisting overseas Filipino workers (OFW). 

“We are deeply saddened by his sudden demise. He has served the Department and our OFWs well,” Bello said. “We condole with his bereaved family and loved ones.” 

The Philippine embassy in Riyadh also issued a statement vouching for the professionalism and good deeds of Munder. 

“Labor Attache Munder dedicated much of professional career in the service of the Filipino people, especially Overseas Filipino Workers and their families, up to his last breath,”  the Philippine embassy said.  

Munder first served as labor attache in the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Kuwait from July 1998 to Dec. 1999.

He has since then assigned to POLOs in other Jeddah, Macau, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Libya, Taichung, Alkhobar. His latest assignment is in Jeddah.
