A total of 7,181 additional Covid-19 cases were logged by the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,690,455.

“The relatively low cases today (October 13) is due to lower laboratory output last Monday, October 11,” the DOH said.

There were 6,889 recoveries and 173 deaths.

Of the total number of infections, 3.1 percent (82,411) are active, 95.4 percent (2,567,975) have recovered, and 1.49 percent (40,069) have died.

Ninety-eight duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 61 are recoveries.

Moreover, 101 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

All laboratories were operational on October 11, 2021 while 2 labs were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).

Based on data in the last 14 days, the 2 non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 0.2 percent of samples tested and 0.2 percent of positive individuals.
