Dipolog: RDC IX Conducts Consultation of Regional Physical Framework Plan 2025-2055

Regional Development Council Region IX through National Economic Development Authority IX (NEDA-IX) conducts a consultation and workshop activity for the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Physical Framework Plan 2025 – 2055 held on October 29, 2024, Bamboo Garden Social Hall, Dipolog City.

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) spearheaded the Regional Physical Framework Plan (RPFP) 2025 – 2055 which is a long – term development plan that guides the use of resources in Zamboanga Peninsula.

The consultation meeting participated by various national and local offices from Zamboanga del Norte such as DPWH, DSWD, Provincial Planning Development Office, Provincial Engineering Office, Provincial Tourism Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Agriculture Office, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Provincial Administrators Office and Provincial Health office.

Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Governor through the Officer In Charge of the Provincial Planning and Development Office Ms Augee L. Velasco, delivers a noteworthy message of support on matters relating policies and programs concerning the development of provinces, municipalities, cities and other local communities and expand avenues of economic cooperation in Zamboanga Peninsula.

Meanwhile, Dapitan City Mayor Seth Frederick G. Jalosjos represented by Mr. Raul Abejero emphasizes message of support with the goal of the RPFP that is to promote the efficient use of land and other resources to maximize economic and social benefits that aims to ensure that ZAMPEN’s population has access to economic opportunities and social services.

The consultative gathering is spearheaded by Ms. Karyl Kristal M. Villejo CAO, NEDA IX. She explains the purpose of the consultation, presentation of the Draft Updated ZamPen Regional Physical Framework Plan (RPFP) 2025 – 2055.

Maria Pilar C. Dayaganon Sr. EDS, NEDA IX, provides the Workshop Mechanics and Open Forum for the Draft Updated ZamPen RPFP (Development Challenges, Goals, Objectives, Strategies, Programs and Projects) according to breakout groups: (1) Settlement Development, (2) Production Land Use, (3) Protection Land Use, and (4) Infrastructure Development.

The forum was mediated by Ms. Joana Marie M. Bacang Sr. EDS of NEDA IX. The NEDA-IX steers and coordinates the consultative process and preparation of medium – term Philippine Development Plan (PDP).(Angelica T. Obina)
