The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Camarines Sur, in coordination with the Provincial Government of CamSur through the Environment, Disaster Management, and Emergency Response Office (EDMERO), held the provincial launch of the Buhay Ingatan Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA): A Drug Demand Reduction Campaign on August 11, 2023. The launching featured a fun bike and motorcade from Plaza Quezon, Naga City to CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC), Cadlan, Pili. The activity was participated in by national government agencies, civil society organizations (CSOs), and academic institutions in the province.
The BIDA program is a year-round advocacy program of DILG that encourages LGUs, partner government agencies, and local stakeholders’ support and participation to achieve the effective advocacy and implementation of raising public awareness on the adverse effects of the use of illegal drugs as well as the reduction of drug proliferation and destigmatizing drug addiction at the community level.
The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, headed by Governor Luigi Villafuerte, is one with the national government agencies’ steadfast efforts to achieve a better community and country by ensuring the public’s safety, security, and overall well-being.
