Cagayan de Oro – A two-day training caravan on basic diplomatic and government protocols is ongoing at the City Tourism Hall with key City Hall employees in attendance.
In his keynote message, City Administrator Roy Hilario Raagas said the training will benefit and equip City Hall employees in conducting meetings and functions involving foreign dignitaries and guests.
Raagas, who represented Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, said the caravan will help build and promote strong diplomatic relations between the city, the country and its foreign guests from the international community.
The participants underwent an intense group simulation presentation in handling international officials and delegates through Airport Arrival, Car Protocol, Courtesy call with the City Mayor, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Sister Relations Signing Ceremony, among others.
The two-day event, which started on Dec. 12 and ends on Dec. 13, is spearheaded by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and supported by City Hall under Mayor Klarex’s administration.
