Mayor Rex C. Oliva, the City Government of Iriga and the City Health Office were lauded and recognized for its outstanding contributions that significantly enhanced the physical infrastructure of local schools during the Division Stakeholders Appreciation Program 2023, a recognition ceremony of the Department of Education on Friday at Agog County Hotel.
The accolades specifically highlighted the city’s instrumental role in the remarkable improvements observed during the 2023 Brigade Eskwela Implementation.
In his message, Mayor Rex Oliva expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the importance of collaboration between local government and educational institutions.
He said, “Cooperation is the only thing that will redeem mankind, a famous quote from Bertrand Russell. The success of the program relies on the spirit of cooperation among the stakeholders.”
In closing, he asked the stakeholders that despite the challenges and desolation that educational institutions may face, to count the blessings and turn into opportunities. By recognizing and appreciating these blessings, even in the face of difficulties, individuals can find inspiration to continue their collaborative efforts and contribute to the betterment of society.
As the City Government committed to support and compliment the programs ofthe education sector, Mayor Rex also in return asked the local education sector to support the programs of the city to ensure that every child in the city has access to quality education in a conducive and nurturing environment.
