Davao de Oro Commemorates 22nd Foundation Day


Davao de Oro Province:   22 years have passed, the province of Davao de Oro is living in its golden times. Last day, March 9, 2020 Davao de Oro commemorates its 22nd Founding Anniversary. It is the first commemoration of the province since its renaming from the former valley to a province of golden opportunities.

The celebration was attended by Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy, Vice Governor Maria Carmen Zamora, School’s Division Superintendent of Davao de Oro Eufemia T. Gamutin, Regional Director of the Department of Education Evelyn R. Fetalvero represented by Assistant Regional Director Maria Ines Asuncion, former SDS of Davao de Oro (School’s Division Superintendent) Reynante Solitario,  other SDS of various provinces and all the government officials of the province.

Known as the province not just with gold reserves but also with resilient people, Davao de Oro remains uncrushed despite all circumstances from the past up to the present. Grateful for every step and milestone, the province continues to seek and discover its potential unleashing new opportunities for all Dabawenyos.

“We are here because of the hard work of every Dabawenyo in Davao de Oro. We are grateful for the leadership shown by our local government officials, the sense of duty exhibited by our frontline service providers, the cooperation of the different national government agencies, non-government organizations, the business community and the undying support and the participation of the people of Davao de Oro.” said Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy.

Having all these notable accomplishments, the challenge for the golden province is to sustain all its achievements, fortify it and live in the spirit of “Bayanihan” ensuring every Dabawenyo won’t be left behind.
