The City Government of Davao has provided free protection kits to the residents through the City Social Services Office and the barangay offices where they will receive three masks, one face shield and one fan per person.
Mayor Inday Sara Duterte has designated the CSWDO district and barangay offices as regular stations where free masks and face shields will be distributed.
She said that the CSWDO barangay and district heads will take charge of the distribution.
“Ang in-charge is atoang social workers because this is for indigents or kung dili man indigent, people with no income who cannot afford to buy new face masks and face shields,” Duterte-Carpio said
She pointed at the places where free face masks and face shields are available namely, the Metro Circle at Bankerohan, Magsaysay Park, Talomo District Hall, Baliok Barangay Hall, Agdao District Hall Ground floor of Buhangin Proper Brgy. Hall, 2nd floor of Sasa Brgy. Hall, Bunawan District Hall, Lasang Brgy Hall, Toril District Hall, Tugbok District Hall, Calinan District Hall, Baguio District Hall, Marilog District Hall, and Lumondao Barangay Hall.
The city government has been distributing free face masks through the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO), Davao City Police Office (DCPO), and Task Force Davao (TFD) in the field.
Duterte-Carpio said that the sites or posts have been established for the regular face mask and face shield posts so that people will know where to go if they don’t have the protective equipment for the safety of residents.
