On November 7, 2024, the National Meat Inspection Service – Regional Technical Operation Center I (NMIS RTOC I) team, led by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑭𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒄, Director II, paid a courtesy visit to 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝑪𝒉𝒖𝒂 and conducted technical assistance in Batac City, Ilocos Norte.
The meeting focused on the construction of Batac City’s new slaughterhouse. Dr. Lontoc and the Nmis Ilocos Region team discussed the technical aspects of the facility’s design and construction, offering insights to ensure compliance with the national standards.
Present in the meeting were 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒓. 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒛𝒉𝒆𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒂, PRDP representative, 𝑫𝒓. 𝑹𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒂𝒛𝒂𝒓, 𝑴𝒓. 𝑬𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒆𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒖𝒛, LGU Batac representatives, 𝑫𝒓. 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒐, Supervising MCO, 𝑴𝒓. 𝑴𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈, Regional Infra Focal, and 𝑴𝒓. 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒑𝒉 𝑮𝒂𝒐𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒏, Meat Inspector III.
This collaborative meeting highlighted the shared commitment of NMIS, PRDP and the local government to create a modern, sustainable slaughterhouse that support safe and high-quality meat processing in Region I.
