A couple were arrested for Violation Of Article 172 of the RPC (Falsification by Private Individual and use of falsified documents) in Alegria Quarantine Checkpoint, located along the National Highway in P-1, Brgy. Gamuton, Alegria, Surigao del Norte this 8:30PM September 11, 2020.
Police reported the suspects and identified as Kim Olaybar Mariano, 42y.o, Filipino, male, married, businessman, a resident of P-4, Brgy. San Isidro, Santiago, Agusan del Norte and his wife Carlita Oclarit Mariano, 37y.o resident of the mentioned place.
Investigation revealed that around 5:30PM of same date, and place, suspects upon passing the Quarantine Checkpoint allegedly presented a falsified Rapid Test result From Proficiency Healthcare Diagnostic Center located in Butuan City that prompted the personnel manning the QCP led by PLT SAYSON C CAÑETE and Pat Fedil B Ortega Jr., both personnel of 1ST SDN PMFC to hold them subject for verification of said documents.
Upon verification to the owner of said diagnostic center named Marites Burgos Khan, it revealed that they did not issued said rapid test result to the aforesaid couple that eventually led to their arrest.
Suspects were informed of their Constitutional Rights under Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Law and the same were brought to Alegria MPS for proper disposition. Apprehension took place around 8: 30PM of same date. (RPN DXKS Surigao thru PEMS GCR)
