Comelec Extends Office Hours For Voters Registration

The Commission on Election (Comelec), has extended it’s office hours for voters registration to cater to those who wanted to register which started Monday till September 30 at the Comelec Zamboanga City office.

Comelec Zamboanga City district 2 election officer, Atty. Jan Christian Babiera said, for weekdays the office is open 8 am to 7 pm and Saturdays and holidays 8 am to 5 pm.

Babiera said, this was approved by the Comelec En banc and a memorandum from the national office was already sent to them.

Regular voters 18 year’s old and above may register. Other services available are correction, transfer of registration, and reactivation.

The registration will run till September 30, 2021. This will be in preparation for the 2022 election.

“Do not wait na last days para man register kay man dagsaan ya tamen se na last two weeks hinde kame pwede man accommodate. Akel mga pwede, pasa maskin after work para man register.” Babiera said.

He said, no fixed number being served in a day as long as the minimum health standards are being followed. Usually they serve 150 to 300 per day.
