Mayor Rex C. Oliva, Vice-Edsel Dimaiwat, City Administrator Atty. Maharlika Ramon Oaferina, among other city officials, join PNP and COMELEC Unity Walk Fun Bike, Interfaith Rally and Candidates Covenant Signing Saturday, September 30 at Iriga City Ceremonial Grandstand for a peaceful barangay election.
The activity was dubbed as “PEDAL Para sa Ligtas at Mapayapang Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Election 2023 which as simultaneous activity between PNP and Comelec.
The assembly and registration of participants started at 6 a.m. followed by the lighting of candles and an inter-faith prayer. Then, a unity walk and fun bike around the city followed.
After a simple program, a covenant signing took place followed by the ceremonial releasing of white pigeons as a sign of peace.
