The City Government of Batac with the leadership of Mayor Albert D. Chua continues to reaffirm its appreciation to our elders for their contribution to community development through the Batac Centenarian Awards.
Yesterday, January 10, the Batac Centenarian Committee awarded one centenarian, two pre-centenarians and 16 nonagenarians.
Aside from the cash incentive given by the national government to centenarians, the city government is also giving Php 20,000.00 incentive to every Batac-born senior reaching the age of 100. Seniors not born in Batac but living in Batac at the age of 100 are receiving Php 15,000.00.
Through the Expanded Batac Pre-Centenarian and Centenarian Citizens’ Ordinance, pre-centenarians aged 99, 98 and 96-97 are receiving Php 12,000.00, Php 8,000.00 and Php 6,000.00, respectively. While nonagenarians aged 94-95 and 90-93 are receiving Php 4,000.00 and Php 3,000.00, respectively.
The awards were delivered in their respective residences by Mrs. Viraluz Raguindin – OSCA Chairman, SPM kichel Pungtilan, SPM Joel Garcia, SPM Markee Chua and SPM Violy Nalupta, assisted by other members of the Centenarian Committee. Nalupta Nonagenarian: Avelina C. Gabion – 94 y/o, Brgy. Baoa West Eleuteria D. Omaoid – 92 y/o, Brgy. Baoa West Juanita A. Bartolome – 94 y/o, Brgy. Baay Veronica P. Caluya – 94 y/o, Brgy. Baay Trinidad A. Gamet – 93 y/o, Brgy. Bungon Filomena G. Cudal – 92 y/o, Brgy. Rayuray Presentacion P. Batistiana – 92 y/o, Brgy. Bil-loca Lucresia O. Tulali – 91 y/o, Brgy. Quiling Norte Dedicacion G. Rodrigo – 91 y/o, Brgy. Tabug Angeles U. Naanep – 90 y/o, Brgy. Sumader Florencia V. Rebolledo – 90 y/o, Brgy. Valdez Severina P. Layaoen – 94 y/o, Brgy.
