PNP elements of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station led by PCPT. Memes Galleriana conducted law enforcement operation against illegal logging at Purok Lower Mecolong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:30 PM of November 6, 2020. The operation resulted to the arrest of Rolando Biolango Catamor, 42 years old, male, married, chainsaw operator and a resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Dampalan, Pagadian City.
The suspect was arrested after he was caught in the act cutting a total of 6,224.80 board feet Gemelina trees amounting to ₱ 30,000.00 as scaled by Jacob Jimlan, DENR Representative.
Arrested person including the confiscated lumber was brought to Dumalinao Municipal Police Station and subsequently turned over to DENR-CENRO-Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur for proper disposition. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
