Gipanid-an karon sa Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPU) sa Police Regional Office 7 ang mga drayber o operator sa Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) nga nagpahimulos sa pagpasobra sa plitehan sa ilang mga pasahero sukad sa pagsugod sa nasudnong mga kalihukan sa Sugbo.
Niadtong Hulyo 12, 2024 ang “OPLAN AGAINST ABUSADONG TAXI DRIVER” gipatuman sa RHPU 7 uban sa koordinasyon sa Land Transportation Office, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, ug Local Territorial Units.
Kini nga operasyon naglakip sa higpit nga inspeksyon sa mga meter sa mga utility vehicle ug paghatag og mga sticker nga nagpakita sa hotline number sa RHPU diin ang mga pasahero mahimong direktang motawag sa bisan unsang overpricing nga pagduda.
Giawhag sa PRO-7 ang mga pasahero nga hatagan ug pagtagad ang meter nga plitehan sa mga PUV ug gipahimangnoan ang masalapason nga mga drayber ug operator alang sa multa ug silot sa higayon nga kini masakpan.
“While most of our PUV drivers in Cebu are honest, the police will be looking at those very few who may take advantage of the situation by overpricing. The PNP and the LTFRB are closely working together to prevent this from happening and rest assured that proactive steps are being taken against these erring drivers”, matod ni PBGen Anthony Aberin.
