Segon ni Dr. Eugenia Mercedes Cañal, Regional Epidemiologist of the Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (RESU) na ginahanglan hatagan og importansya ang public safety, order, and national security,
“Atong gina encourage ang mga LGUS that they should have a designated display area of fireworks sa ilang mga LGU. Dili na pwede unta na magpaboto sa atong balay, sa kalsada, or anywhere else but we should have a designated fireworks display in each of the LGU.” dugang ni Dr. Eugenia Mercedes Cañal.
“Dr. Cañal highlighted the five (5) crucial reminders aimed at educating the public about the safe use of firecrackers as art of the agency’s Ligtas Christmas sa Healthy Pilipinas campaign. These reminders include the following: (1) Fireworks causes injury and endanger health; (2) Children should not use any fireworks; (3) Be safe and stay away from exploding firecrackers; (4) Never pick used firecrackers; and (5) Seek immediate medical treatment. “
