Cebu City – Gilauman sa kagamhanan sa syudad sa Sugbo nga tugtan sa Commission on Election ang pagpadayon sa pag apod apod sa cash ug rice assistance ngadto sa mga pamilya nga apektado sa bagyong Odette.
Gihunong ang distribution sa financial aid ug ubang assistance sukad nga pagsugod sa local campaign period gumikan sa election spending ban.
Gibutyag ni Atty. Gerrt Carillo, chairman sa city disaster council, nga ang buhatan sa Comelec sa syudad ug sa region mitugot sa pagpadayon sa distribution, pero matod pa ila lang gisiguro nga way problema, hinungdan nga gihimo ang formal nga filing sa petition.
“I personally filed a petition katong atong mga cash assistance, especially Odette-related can be continued, stimulus, and other cash assistance. Although we were given the go signal coming from (the) Comelec, just the same they told us to file the necessary petition in court,” mensahi ni Carillo.
Gitakdang moadto si Carillo sa Manila aron personal nga mag follow up sa nahisgutang petition ngadto sa Central Office.
“I will personally go to Manila and file this exemption before the Comelec Intramuros tomorrow (today),” butyag ni Carillo.
Masaligon kini nga ang kagamhanan sa syudad maka dawat ug paborable nga tubag sa daling panahon, alang sa mga apektadong pamilya.
“Cebu (City) is unique because we were hit by Odette, we have started the distribution, this distribution is continuous. According to the Comelec you can continue what has been started, we have started our distribution, rice assistance, cash assistance, in Odette affected areas especially those affected nagsugod naman ta, naka house to house na ta. Naputol lang ni tungod sa prohibitions in the cash assistance,” dugang ni Carillo.
Sigon pa ni Carillo nga ila sab nga ipasalig sa Comelec nga dili ni masaglan ug politika.
“We will show in good fate, we will explain. According to Comelec as long as no political candidates are present during the distribution, ikaduha the DSWD and Red Cross will be present, and also we will inform COA as to how much the public funds exposure on the day that we will distribute…we will comply,” pasalig ni Carillo.
Sa kasamtangan ang kagamhanan sa syudad naka apod apod na ug P400 million nga cash aid ug bugas sa mga nabiktima sa bagyo, apan duna pay daghang mga residente nga wala pa maka dawat sa ilang financial aid alang sa mga nanga guba nilang residential structures.
Kini maoy rason nga gi aprobahan sa konseho ang dugang P300 million alang sa maong katuyuan.
Nagkanayon si Carillo nga ila nang gipatawag ang mga barangay nga wala pa maka dawat ug bisan unsang hinabang gikan sa city government alang sa pagpang lista. (Jhon Tadlip)
