Ang operasyon gipangulohan sa Port of Cebu – Subport of Mactan uban sa hugot nga koordinasyon sa intelligence ug enforcement units sa BOC. Ang mga package giingong gi-deklarar isip Alingatong Stinging Nettle, apan sa physical examination nga gisaksihan sa CIIS, ESS, XIP, BPI, ug DENR, nakumpirmar nga agarwood kini, usa ka protected species nga nagkinahanglan og tukmang permiso gikan sa DENR ilawom sa CITES.
“This interception serves as clear evidence that the Bureau of Customs’ commitment to combating illicit trade remains steadfast, particularly in implementing and enforcing environmental and wildlife protection laws to ensure that protected species are not put at risk and our natural resources remain safe from unlawful activities,” segon ni Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno.
