More than 2OO families lost their homes and almost 1,000 individuals were affected by the massive fire that happened in Mananga 2, Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City. The fire alarm was received just after 2:00 p.m., June 25, 2025.
The areas of Sityo Jose Rizal, Juan Felipe, Emilio Aguinaldo, and Jacinto Zamora located in Barangay Mananga 2, Barangay Tabunok, were hit by a big fire that was raised by the task force bravo.
The city government of Talisay extended help to the victims by providing food, water, beds and other basic needs. Also informed that there is already coordination with DSWD and other agencies for additional aid.
Victims are calling for more help from individuals and NGOs to help families who have lost their homes and belongings. More relief is expected to follow in the coming days.
Currently, the victims are staying at the evacuation center and their condition is monitored to ensure their safety and health.
The fire department is still investigating to determine the cause of the fire and its damage.
