Nagkahiusa ang 3O ka mga Police Officials kagahapong adlawa, Enero 6,2023, sa Police Regional Office (PRO-7) sa pagtubag sa panawagan ni DILG Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. nga mo resign sa pangatundanan.
Si PBGEN JERRY F BEARIS, Regional Director, Police Regional Office 7, maoy nangulo sa signing ug submission of courtesy resignation uban sa mga full-fledged Police Colonels ug Generals nga nadistino sa PRO-7.
Mahinumduman nga niadtong adlaw nga Miyerkulis gibutyag ni Sec.Abalos nga adunay 300 ka mga ranking officials sa Philippine National Police (PNP) ang nalambigit sa illegal nga negosyo sa ginadiling drugas.
Matud ni Bearis nga ang ilang dinungan nga pagpirma sa mga dokumento nagpakita og panaghiusa ug suporta sa DILG ug sa PNP.
“It’s hard to fight in a war where your ally will shoot you in the back. We need to cleanse our ranks. The people will trust us even more if we are honorable,” pamahayag ni Abalos didto sa PNP’s National Headquarters sa Camp Crame, Quezon City, sa nakalabay nga Miyerkulis.
“We’ve been doing that. You know the length of the court process, technically, of everything. This is a shortcut here, if you want to look it that way. That’s why I’m appealing to them to resign,” dugang ni Abalos.
