CAMP John Hay (CJH) Hotel assembled 106 points to post an opening-day four-shot lead over Hotel Bahia in the Fil-A seniors competition of the 72nd Fil-Am Men’s invitational at the Camp John Hay Golf Club.
Ramon Luis Garcia led CJH Hotel with 29 points and was backed up with the 27 of Federico Mandapat and 25 each from Shean Bedi and Ronald Samaniego.
Hotel Bahia stayed in the hunt on the 27 of Dasen Chen, 26 of Rudy Amata, 25 of Raoul Jorge and 24 of Jose Antonio Olives.
A distant third with 93 points was Robros-JV Golf Team 1 with Teddy Quizon scoring 30, Enrico del Rosario 24, Emiliano Mendoza 22 and Antonio Mecado 17.
Moto carded 92 to be in fourth spot, followed by Team Okinawa 85, Team Na Koa 1 84, D’Young Ones 83 and Macquarie Links Sydney Team 1 79.
In the Am-C division, Mar Bustos carded 23 to lead the attack of Baguio Country Club Team 2, which finished with 73 at the Baguio Country Club course. Edgar Dinge 19, Anthony Co 16 and Rafael Ding 15 were the other scorers.
Chemsol-Flowtork pooled a 70 while Davao Eaglemasters II and Solid North Transit each submitted a 65.
