These hogs were confiscated at 2 o’clock in the morning on December 31, 2022 wherein a vehicle hurdled our Animal Quarantine Checkpoint at Opol, Misamis Oriental. The owner was not able to present any legal documents which is a violation of our local ordinance.
Our personnel immediately responded and chased the vehicle, with the help of our police authorities, until the vehicle was apprehended.
 Our office waited 24 hours for them to produce their legal documents but there being none, led us to file a police blotter.
We are intensifying our vigilance in our borders to enforce our measures to prevent the recurrence of ASF in the City.
