Region 9 – The Department of Agriculture IX (DA9) conducts the Package of Technology (POT) Training on Cacao Production at Top Plaza Hotel, Dipolog City, today.
Four farmer cooperatives and associations (FCAs); namely Facoma Sindangan, Polanco Officials Employees and Peoples Cooperative (POEMPCO), Piñan MultiPurpose Cooperative (PEMCO) and Barcelona Innovative Cacao Growers, together with other local cacao growers in Zamboanga del Norte attend the lecture presentations and demonstrations.
Honorary Consul of Russia Ms. Armi Lopez Garcia, also the national chairperson of the Philippine Cacao Industry Council attended the activity. Garcia produces the Tablea Chocolate, and continuously promotes and supports DA in the innovation of chocolate products in the country.
Also present to show support is Fr. Enrico V. Montano, the Agrarian Reform (PARCOM) President.
