A farmer who was charged for rape in Bukidnon last 2007 was nabbed in Zamboanga del Sur over the weekend.
Police Regional Office 9 spokesman P/ Capt. Edwin Duco claimed, elements of the Mahayag Municipal Police Station in coordination with Malaybalay City Police Station conducted police operation to serve warrant of arrest at Purok 7, Sitio Danao, Brgy. Kaangayan, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.
Duco identified the arrested farmer as Allandrelo Bautista Tormis, 55 years old, farmer at the said barangay in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.
He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of rape, docketed under Criminal Case Nr. 17485-07m, issued by Presiding Judge, 10th RTC, Branch 8, Malaybalay City dated July 10, 2007 with no recommended bail bond.
Duco said the arrested accused is now under the temporary custody of Mahayag MPS custodial facility and to be turned over to Malaybalay MPS for proper disposition.
