Bacolod City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has alerted all 10 police stations here for a safe and peaceful celebration of the Yuletide season.

Police Colonel Noel Aliño, BCPO director, has directed all station commanders to increase police visibility and standby points in their respective jurisdictions.

Aliño said that police assistance desks were stationed at various points, particularly in Churches, as Simbang Gabi started over-the-weekend.

This is part of the city police force’s “Ligtas Paskuhan Bacolod City Police Public Assistance Desk (B-PAD).”

The Ligtas Paskuhan B-PADs are manned by police officers trained to promptly cater to calls for service and respond to crime incidents, according to Aliño.

The deployment of police officers in B-PADs is an expansion and extension of BCPO to the community to ensure that access to police service is within the public’s reach, he added.

BCPO launched the B-PAD in September which is stationed in strategic areas such as public markets, schools, call center firms, hospitals, and other areas that are usually crowded for quick response. (Glazyl Masculino via The Daily Guardian (TDG), photo courtesy of TDG)
