Baguio: Power Company Inks Agreements With LGUs In CAR, Region 2 On Health And Safety Programs

Renewable energy solutions provider SN Aboitiz Power Magat (SNAP-Magat) signed agreements with local government units in Isabela, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya for projects that address the communities’ immediate health and safety needs through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund.

These include the purchase of barangay motorcycle patrol vehicles for barangay Planas, personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical supplies for barangays Ambatali and Gen. Aguinaldo, construction of a quarantine facility in barangay Taliktik in the municipalities of Ramon and Cordon respectively in Isabela, procurement of food packs for around 180 families of barangay Calimag in Alfonso Lista,  COVID response vehicle of barangay Hapid in Lamut; a bailer machine project in the municipality of Aguinaldo in Ifugao; and potable water supply projects and public comfort room upgrades in Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya.

Mayor Gaspar Chilagan expressed his gratitude during the MOA signing between SNAP-Magat and the municipality of Aguinaldo, Ifugao.

“The bailer machine greatly aids in recycling, thus, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our municipality,” the mayor said.

“SNAP stays true to its commitment to making a positive impact, especially in these trying times. We understand and value the needs of our host communities and fully support efforts to improve health and safety as these are also two of our top priorities,” said Engr. Ed Bundalian, SNAP-Magat AVP and Plant Manager.

Since the pandemic last year, SNAP-Magat’s host communities have benefitted from 88 projects totaling Php22 million through the CSR Fund.
