Baguio: Cordillera jabbed 136, 384 individuals in 3-day “Bayanihan Bakunahan”

The Cordillera region failed to meet its target of administering COVID-19 vaccine doses during the “Bayanihan Bakunahan”, a three-day immunization drive campaign that aims to ramp up the implementation of the government’s national vaccination program against COVID-19.

A total of 136, 384 individuals were vaccinated against COVID-19 during the campaign based on the Department of Health Cordillera records.

Only 54 percent were vaccinated from the targeted population of 236, 384.

Broken down, Abra vaccinated 14, 965, Apayao 9, 015, Benguet 31, 820, Ifugao 12, 520, Klinga 14, 291, Mountain Province 7, 386 and Baguio City 21, 176.

Despite missing the target, Cordillera already breached the 1 million mark for eligible population who are already vaccinated with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine based on the December 01, 2021 data of the National Vaccination Operations Center.

Of the target 70% of the region’s 1,275,903 populations, 736,640 individuals or 57.73% are already fully vaccinated.
