BAGUIO CITY – Two million five hundred twenty thousand pesos (PhP2,520,000.00) worth of dried marijuana bricks weighing twenty-one (21) kilograms was confiscated, and two (2) drug personalities were arrested yesterday June 11, 2025 in a buy-bust operation conducted in Burnham-Legarda, Baguio City by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-CAR Baguio/Benguet and Mt. Province Provincial Office.
The two (2) suspects who were arrested were caught with 20 pieces of dried marijuana bricks and one elongated form after they transacted with an undercover agent. PDEA-CAR Regional Director Derrick Arnold C Carreon identified the suspects as a 43-year-old man from Bakun, Benguet, and a 53-year-old man from Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.
They are currently in the custody of the PDEA-Cordillera. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being filed against them. By: BABY TONG
