Fifty seven individuals wanted by law, including three murder suspects, were arrested in a week-long intensified manhunt operation conducted by the different police units of Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PROCOR) in the region.
According to the report of PROCOR Public Information Office the highlights of these accomplishments is the arrest of 11 most wanted persons, including four at the Provincial Level, two at the Municipal Level, one at the City Level and four at the Station Level.
Based on Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division’s May 22- 28 reports, Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 26 wanted persons, followed by Kalinga PPO with 12 arrests.
In Benguet, police operatives arrested nine wanted persons, Ifugao PPO arrested five, Abra and Apayao PPO each arrested two wanted persons, while Mountain Province arrested one wanted person.
At the Provincial Level, Julio Okao, Vicente Salibad, and Richard Diwayan, listed as No. 1, 2, and 3, respectively were arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest for the crime of Murder; John Miranda, listed as No. 8, was arrested for the crime of Homicide. (Joseph Manzano)
