Combined operatives of Benguet Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agents destroyed ₱ 190,000 worth of marijuana plants in three separate marijuana plantation sites in Kibungan, Benguet on Monday, March 21.
Based on police reports the marijuana plantation sites were discovered in Barangay Poblacion and Tacadang.
In Barangay Poblacion, joint operatives of Kibungan MPS and PDEA-CAR were able to discover a total of 650 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants worth ₱ 130, 000.00.
Meanwhile, in Brgy. Tacadang, operatives of Benguet First PMFC were able to discover a marijuana plantation site with 300 pieces of FGMJP worth ₱ 60, 000.00.
All marijuana plants were uprooted and destroyed on-site. No cultivator was apprehended during the said operations, while an investigation is ongoing to identify the possible cultivators. (Joseph Manzano, photo courtesy of PROCOR-PIO)
