Bacolod: WV PNP Dir.: 71 wanted persons nabbed in 24 hours

The Police Regional Office 6 reported that 71 fugitives of the law have been accounted for, on February 5 in Western Visayas, of which 40 were collared in Negros Occidental.

In a statement, the PRO 6 the arrest of 71 wanted persons was a product of a relentless intelligence-driven campaign against wanted individuals, conducted by the different police units in Western Visayas.

Of the 71 arrested fugitives, eight were classified as most wanted persons.

The remaining 63 were classified by the police as Other Wanted Persons, where 40 were apprehended in Negros Occidental.

PBrig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, regional police director of Western Visayas, said “These impressive numbers underscore Police Regional Office 6’s unwavering commitment to providing Western Visayas with the peace and security they rightfully deserve.”

The Police Regional Office 6 also considered it as a significant milestone, as the accomplishment was made within a single day, Feb. 5.

Villaflor lauded all concerned police personnel for their commendable achievements, as he urged them to continue making Western Visayas a safer place for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.

“Let us persist in performing our duties with excellence, ensuring the safety and security of everyone within our area of responsibility, and delivering justice to the victims of crimes,” he stressed.
