Bacolod City – The Police Regional Office 6 reported to have accounted for 89 fugitives in week-long manhunt operations in Western Visayas.

Of the 70 operations across the region from June 1 to 7, 40 of 89 fugitives were arrested by tracker teams of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and Bacolod City Police Office.

The 49 other fugitives were either arrested by the Capiz, Iloilo, Aklan Antique, Guimaras Police Provincial Offices, and Iloilo City Police Office, as well as Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

In a statement, PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional police director of Western Visayas, lauded the efforts of trackers teams in their campaign against wanted persons.

“This is a manifestation that no wanted person can hide for life. Time will come that they will be reached by the long arms of the law,” Wanky said. (Gilbert Bayoran via The Visayan Daily Star)
