Bacolod City – The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod granted Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez the authority to sign the lease agreement between the City Government of Bacolod and SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPHI), represented by its president Jeffrey C. Lim, for the redevelopment of the Manokan Country, during its regular session recently.
This involves the Lease and Development of Transfer Certificate of Title Nos. T-55865 and T-55866, where the Manokan Country, Vendors Plaza, and the Bacolod Youth and Sports (BAYS) Center, among others, and nearby properties are located along Fr. Ferrero Street, Bacolod City, with an aggregate area of about 16,875 square meters.
The proposed contract signing for the Manokan Country Redevelopment Project is scheduled today.
SMPHI had earlier presented its preliminary designs for the proposed development of the Manokan Country and Vendors Plaza to city officials, where it plans to provide the tenants of the Manokan Country 25 slots, aside from a common dining area for customers.
