The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) detected ash emissions at the Kanlaon Volcano summit crater on March 4, and also recorded 15 volcanic quakes.

The ash emission, according to PHIVOLCS, lasted three minutes, with grayish plumes rising up to 300 meters above the crater, before drifting northwest.

Alert Level 3 prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.

A total of 3,871 families have been displaced by the Kanlaon eruption on December 9, last year.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) launched another medical mission at La Castellana National High School to provide additional healthcare services to internally displaced persons (IDPs).

In its latest report, the Department of Social Welfare and Development distributed the 20th wave of Family Food Packs (FFPs) to IDPs staying at the Castellana evacuation centers.(Gilbert Bayoran via tvds)
