Negros Occidental topped Western Visayas in terms of growth of locally sourced revenue, at 83.68 percent.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz disclosed that Negros Occidental bested six other provinces in the region based on year on year growth of locally sourced revenues.
The award was given recently to the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, led by Atty. Amy Grace Bolivar, during ceremonies at the Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary in Murcia, by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) and the Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors in Region VI (REGATA VI), Inc.
“It is the mother of all awards. It represents the growth of our local revenue from 2020 to 2021,” Diaz said, adding that other awards represent efficiency based on the target set by BLGF.
Negros Occidental also topped Region 6 based on Economic Enterprise – Collection Efficiency and placed 3rd on Collection Efficiency in Four Locally Sourced Revenues. (Gilbert Bayoran via The Visayan Daily Star (TVDS), photo courtesy of TVDS)
