Bacolod City – The number of new registrants in Negros Occidental for the 2025 midterm elections further increased to 1,816 after the first three days, from February 12 to 14, according to records of the Commission on Elections.

Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria, provincial election officer, described the conduct of the first three days of voter registration as “so far, so good.”

During the first day of voter registration on Feb. 12, Comelec recorded 839 registrants, 492 in the following day, and 485 on Feb. 15, said a report of the Comelec.

Voter transferees from other cities and municipalities were logged at 1,311.

“Hopefully, we can average 2,000 applicants daily as the registration continues,” Ananoria said.
