Bacolod City – Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson received recently a Certificate of Approval of the six-year Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP) of Negros Occidental, from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
Lacson, who accepted the certificate of approval from Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar and Undersecretary Henry Yapon at the DHSUD Central Office in Manila, expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders who actively participated in the crafting of the PDPFP, for their invaluable guidance during the formulation of the comprehensive 940-page plan.
The inclusive, data driven, and DRR-CCA mainstreamed plan integrates both spatial and development concerns, and allows the province to identify strategic and practical solutions to current and future challenges.
Acuzar commended the efforts of the Negros Occidental provincial government for completing the PDPFP, along with the 7 other provinces in the country, namely Agusan del Sur, Bulacan, Laguna,Northern Samar, Sarangani, Siquijor, and Zamboanga del Norte.
The approval of the Comprehensive Land Use Plans (CLUPs) of the cities of Pasig and Angeles were also recognized during the ceremony.
