Baguio City – The province of Apayao logged 128 more coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases on Thursday bringing its total active cases to 547, the Department of Health Cordillera said.
As of 8:00 PM, 12 August 2021, the DOH Cordillera reports 331 new cases: 59 from Abra, 47 from Baguio City, 43 from Benguet, 20 from Ifugao, 30 from Kalinga and 4 from Mountain Province.
Apayao has now the most active cases in the region followed by the City of Baguio with 383, Benguet 366, Abra 192, Kalinga 90, Ifugao 64 and Mt. Province has the lowest active cases with 53.
Last night some 20,000 doses of Coronavac’s Sinovac vaccine arrived in Apayao for their aggressive COVID-19 vaccination drive.
DOH -CAR reports 85 recoveries in the region yesterday.
To date, out of the 45, 592 total cases in Cordillera, 43,037 patients recovered and 850 died from COVID-19. (Joseph Manzano, RPN DZBS Baguio OIC)
