Joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a high-value target (HVT) suspect in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga Sibugay province, an official said Thursday, August 26.
Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula, identified the HVT suspect as Rendon Ryan Amarille, 34, who has been listed as the number 10 priority in anti-drug campaign in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Ylangan said Amarille was arrested by joint police and PDEA operatives in an anti-drug operation around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in Purok 3, Tigbangagan village, Kabasalan.
Seized from Amarille were ₱ 3,400 worth of substance believed to be shabu and ₱ 500 marked money.
Ylangan said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspect, who was detained.
