Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – The former member of Sandatahang Yunit Pampropaganda (SYP), Squad 2, from the Weakened Guerilla Front 88, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee, returned to the folds of the law and surrendered to San Luis police last Friday, September 24.
Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR., Regional Director of PNP Caraga, identified the surrenderer as a.k.a “ BOK GAMAY’’, 28 years old, male, single and a resident of Brgy. Don Alejandro, San Luis, Agusan del Sur.
A.k.a “BOK GAMAY’’ surrendered to the personnel of San Luis Municipal Police Station, 1st Agusan del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and Agusan del Sur Provincial Intelligence Unit (ADS-PIU) and turned over one unit Caliber .45 pistol “Armscor” bearing Serial No. 213842 with one magazine and seven ammunition around 1:40 PM.
“We welcome this additional number in the already massive number of NPA surrenderers in Caraga. This increasing number of CNTs who withdrew support to the CTG will pave a way to end local communist armed conflict and attainment of the ultimate objective of Executive Order Number 70 which is the long and lasting peace in our country,” RD CARAMAT, JR. said.
RD CARAMAT, JR, assured the surrenderer of police assistance in his enrollment to the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program of the government.
