Barangays Banonong, Cawa-Cawa, Sinonoc, Sicayab-Bucana, Linabo, Dawo, and Talisay of Dapitan City were placed under lockdown after an extensive contact-tracing was done for the previous 3 additional positive Covid-19 cases recorded in the city.
With a total of 7 recorded positive cases, 5 active, 1 recovered and 1 death, this has been seen by Dapitan City LGU as solution to at least control the spread of the virus.
All residents affected of the lockdown were immediately provided with food packs and 25 kilos of rice to at least sustain their needs until October 14, 2020, end of lockdown.
The Local Government of Dapitan City asks the community to strictly follow health protocols and to understand the situation since this is only for everyone’s safety.
Quarantine checkpoint tents were also placed in every barangay to ensure that no resident violates the mandatory health protocol.(LGU – Dapitan City/ OIC Lyza Bautista, RPN DXKD Dipolog)
