Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City –  POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR, Regional Director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 13, reported that as of yesterday, August 15, out of the 8,107 personnel of PRO13 and Regional Support Units, 5,401 or 66.6% already received a vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID 19).

The increase in the number of vaccinated personnel comes after PNP Caraga received 5,000 doses of COVID 19 vaccine from the Department of Health 13.

Data from the RMDU13 revealed that out of the 7,199 personnel assigned with PRO13, 2,442 had their first dose, 2,351 are already fully vaccinated while only 2,406 remain unvaccinated. Meanwhile, out of the 908 PNP personnel assigned with the Regional Support Units, 294 had their first dose, 314 are already fully vaccinated while only 300 remain unvaccinated.

PBGEN CARAMAT, JR reminded the remaining 2,706 unvaccinated personnel to have their vaccination either at the RMDU13 or at the Local Government Units of their residence or unit of assignment.

Aside from its personnel, PNP Caraga also administered COVID 19 vaccines to its civilian workers inside the camp to ensure their safety and well-being as well.

As additional protocol amid the continuing threats of COVID-19, the base police at PRO13 Headquarters implements the “No Vaccine, No Entry” policy following the release of a memorandum from the Commander of PRO13 Administrative Support for Covid-19 Task Force (ASCOTF) requiring all individuals to present vaccination card upon entering the camp.

“Despite the continuing threats of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, your police will continue to carry out its mission of serving and protecting our country and people. To effectively do so, we also need to protect ourselves from the disease, and getting COVID-19 vaccination serves as our first layer of defense aside from strictly practicing the minimum public health standards,” RD CARAMAT, JR said.
